The short version

Some links on vanlife.ie are affiliate links. If you click one and buy / book something, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products and services we'd actually use or have researched seriously. The commission doesn't change what we write; reviews are based on merit.

The longer version

Vanlife.ie participates in affiliate programmes, which means we get paid a referral fee when a reader clicks a tagged link on vanlife.ie and then makes a qualifying purchase or booking on the retailer's site. Typical commission is 2–10% of the sale and comes out of the retailer's margin, not the reader's pocket.

How we flag affiliate content

Programmes we use

(This list is updated as we join or leave programmes.)

What we won't do

Sponsored content

Paid posts, sponsored reviews, and paid placements would be labelled "Sponsored" at the top of the article and disclosed distinctly from affiliate commission. As of April 2026, we don't run any sponsored content. If that changes, the policy will be updated here first.

Advertising standards

We follow ASAI (Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland) guidance and ASA UK rules for commercial content, as well as the FTC Endorsement Guides where relevant to our audience.

Corrections / questions

If you spot an affiliate link that isn't disclosed clearly, or any other editorial issue, mail hello@vanlife.ie and we'll fix it.
